Free Vein Assessment

A Free Vein Assessment is a brief check with a member of our veins team which helps determine whether you may have varicose veins or other vein issues, and whether further investigation is needed.

What is a Free Vein Assessment?

A Free Veins Assessment* is a brief appointment where one of our experienced vein nurses or doctors visually examines your legs, discusses your symptoms, and assesses if a full consultation with ultrasound mapping is required.

This does not include a consultation or ultrasound mapping. There is no obligation to proceed with any treatment based on the findings of the assessment.

What does it include?

  • A visual inspection of your legs.
  • Discussion of symptoms like aching, swelling, or heaviness.
  • Advice on next steps – whether that’s monitoring, compression stockings, or a full consultation.

Am I suitable?

This assessment is suitable for anyone with:

  • Visible varicose veins
  • Varicose veins symptoms in the legs
  • Concerns about family history of vein disease
