A Cosmetic Consultation with an Appearance Medicine Doctor or Nurse at Skin Institute is the first step if you’re considering injectable treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, skin boosters, or other medical cosmetic procedures.
Our medically trained professionals take the time to understand your goals, assess your facial anatomy, and recommend safe, evidence-based treatments tailored to you.
This consultation is a medical assessment focused on injectable and prescription-only cosmetic treatments.
It involves a detailed facial analysis, discussion of concerns, and education around treatment options, outcomes, and risks.
No treatment is rushed; the priority is safety, suitability, and natural-looking results.
If it is the first time you are seeing us for appearance medicine treatments, or it has been more than 12 months since your last visit, you are required to book a cosmetic consultation with one of our Appearance Medicine Nurses or Doctors.
This consultation is recommended if you are considering:
Anti-wrinkle injectables
Dermal fillers or facial contouring
Profhilo®, Sunekos®, SKINVIVE™, or other injectables
Treatment for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
Combination injectable plans for facial rejuvenation
It’s also ideal if you’re new to injectables or want a second opinion from a medical professional.
Your consultation may include:
Medical history review and suitability assessment
Facial anatomy and movement analysis
Discussion of injectable treatment options
Expected results and longevity
Risks, side effects, and aftercare
Personalised treatment plan and cost estimate
If appropriate, treatment may be performed on the same day.
You’ll discuss your goals, concerns, and expectations.
Your clinician will assess facial balance, muscle movement, and skin quality.
Honest, medically guided advice is provided including when treatment is not recommended.
You’ll receive a tailored plan outlining recommended treatments and timelines.
